Temple Project

Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple project is to be launched in the heart of the Berlin. A project report on the construction of the temple had been worked out in detail in the year 2005 and 2006 with the close co-operation of respective institutions and agencies. The layout of the temple hall will be 19 x 19 meters in the fundamental outline and 6 metres in height. The temple will be built as per the guidelines of Vedic and Agama sastras in a traditional colourful manner. The entrance of the temple will be an 17 meter high Raja Gopuram, facing the road (Hasenheide) which will be richly decorated with deity icons. The second Gopuram, a Vimana Gopura, will be elevated above the temple hall marking the shrine of Sri Ganesha, the main diety. Berlin has offered a piece of land at Hasenheide Park for the construction of Sir Ganesha Hindu Temple. In order to secure the acquisition of the land from the Neuk?ln District Office by signing the formal agreement, the immediate task in hand is to raise sufficient funds. Once this is achieved we can move forward with the plan of construction of the temple.
