Ganeshotsav Berlin is the city's public (Sarvajanik) Ganesh festival, celebrated from 14 to 26 September at the Sri Ganesha Hindu Temple in Neukölln. Rooted in the Ganeshotsav tradition of Pune, it is organised by the Ganeshotsav Berlin committee together with the temple, Marathi Mitra Berlin and Ramanbaug Yuva Manch Germany.
Across the festival there are Pooja and Aarti twice daily and more than fifty cultural programmes — Dhol-Tasha and Lezim performances, classical and folk dance, music and community gatherings. Everyone is welcome, whatever their background.
The celebration culminates in the Grand Visarjan Miravnuk — the farewell procession — on Saturday, 26 September 2026.
