Maha Kumbhabhishekam is the culminating consecration ceremony of a Hindu temple in the Agama tradition. With the anointment of the Kalashas atop the Vimana, divine life is transferred to the temple and its murtis. It is the most significant day in the history of our association since its founding in 2012.
Over five days our pujari perform the prescribed Vedic rituals — from purification of the site (Vastu Shanti) and the sprouting of seeds (Ankurarpanam), through the Maha Homams and the Prana Pratishta (infusion of life), to the closing Kumbhabhishekam on Sunday morning.
Each evening from 18:00 to 20:00 we open the temple to a cultural programme — classical music, dance and bhajan. These evenings are accessible to every visitor without prior registration.
